Mountain River Snow

I started this painting a few months ago.  I was pretty far along with it when I became distracted with other projects.  I picked it up over the Easter weekend and put about another 6 hours into it before I declared it finished.  I am in love with both the mountains and the sea.  I have visited both all summers throughout my life.  This painting is of Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania.  The winter scene is a big change for me, but but there is something very peaceful and perfect about a mountain and a river blanketed in the cold and snow of the season.  The weather is warming up now, but I wanted to give you one last glimpse of winter until next year.
